I mean - I guess if it's bat off the bench for an aging Single A prospect going nowhere -
and we need a roster spot needs to be filled for the upcoming release of domestic abuser (this is unfair of me - not all the details have come out yet - I just can't stand him because he's lazy and undisciplined but he's on leave right now) odubel Herrera to open up a spot for Kingery in CF - well ………

but yet I fail to see how this does not open up opportunities for Nick Williams and Roman Quinn despite their struggles.....

Jay Bruce is an infuriating guy to have on your team. He’ll have two awesome weeks and then basically go dormant for the next 6.

john mayberry jr.
I thought he was the next daryl strawberry (I kept touting this - for years - egg all over my face - jokes on me - like domonic brown) - I mean - he kind of had certain similarities and characteristics to an extent (tall and lanky - well - that's basically it) - when he went yard - he had such a sweet swing - problem was he couldn't do much else 80% of the time -

wtf happened to the royals?
didn't they win the WS a few years ago - and they've gone back to being irrelevant again?
check out the nl central - even the last place reds are like only 5 games back this early a few games under .500 - tough division

I remember him, he played on the Mets for a hot second before disappearing into the ether where he belongs. I also remember when he came up for the Phils and thinking he had a nice swing, but he never matured at the plate, like a doofus.

Former Marlin Derek Dietrich is having a brilliant year for the Reds with 17 HR’s already. The Marlins have gotten rid of so much offensive talent the last couple of years and have gotten nothing in return, it’s sickening. Imagine if we still had Yelich, Ozuna, Stanton, Realmuto, Gordon, Dietrich, Bour, we would have quite an offense.

Knowing before the season that the Jays were gonna lose 100 games doesn't make it any easier to watch the games.

Imagine if we still had Yelich, Ozuna, Stanton, Realmuto, Gordon, Dietrich, Bour, we would have quite an offense. Dietrich is definitely enjoying his move to a minor-league sized ballpark, and that's where he's done much of his damage, but still nice to see a veteran guy kinda find himself after getting a change of scenery. What's weird is that he's played in over 50 games, but only has 150 PAs in that time. Are they pulling him for defense in every single game? When you have a guy with an OPS over 1, you leave him in there! Mickey Callaway pulls this shit all the time, double switching out Pete Alonso and plugging in Juan Lagares to CF for defense. Lagares is a fine CF but then he comes up in the 9th after the bullpen blows it and promptly grounds out to end the game whereas at least with Alonso, you have a chance. Sorry, that was a non-sequitor. I think Justin Bour got demoted recently. He was always a guy I expected more from but he's really regressed the past 2 years. He reminded of a better version of stupid Lucas Duda, but he hasn't panned out lately. Not sure if he's had injuries though that could account for his drastic drop in production.

dude's batting like .212 but has like 14 homers.
has Russell branyon (or however you spell it written all over him)
I guess if you're down 4-2 in the 9th with 2 outs and 2 men on - and he's a pinch hit bat and you're crossing you're fingers for a walkoff - why not - just disappointed Quinn and Williams have disappointed so much that this was even considered.

Bee infestation delay at Petco! Bizarre, I’m watching it live. Richards is pitching well for the Fish, who are looking to win the series.

there's times a portion of our braindead moronic fanbase sickens me.
notice i said portion.
4 game losing streak (3 of the those four on the road to the Dodgers who are off the hook this year) ....
still in first a half game over the Bravos.
i'ts the first week of June.
listening to a local sports talk radio show host - Joe DeCamera on WIP (610 -94.1) literally acting as if a funeral is in order and asking callers what the Phils did wrong the previous offseason.
what's even more sickening is listening to these bone headed callers calling acting as if they've missed the playoffs - and it's the 1st frickin' week in June and they're in first.
