it will feature the character teaming up...with Zorro himself. Tarantino penned a seven issue comic where Django teamed up with the famous swashbuckler as a sequel to the popular western. Jerrod Carmichael is the writer that they hired.

That suggests to me they don't think Django-the Tarantino version-can stand up to a sequel without some big name franchise help.
The original didn't need that gimmick. Tons of films used the Django name just for advertising boost.

Not sure this will work if Tarantino isn’t directing I wouldn't be surprised if Robert Rodriguez helmed it. That would not be my first choice, but he’s talented when he tries.

It got Jerrod Carmichael which sounds promising but not sure..... Also Pedro Pascal for Zorro please.

I have not seen the comic but the premise doesn't make sense. Zorro is from an earlier time period than Django. Who will Zorro sword fight with? Everyone else will be carrying revolvers not swords.

The premise sounds pretty silly to me. But I'm no Zorro or Django expert. I've only watched the Tarantino Django film.
