Women as in Jean and Storm? Can't see Raven as that powerful character out there saving the men when she's kinda close to Beast in what they do. I think this was suppose to be a meta commentary on the female characters having more fluid powers that get upgrades to make them more powerful. The men usually have static powers. Or (in the case of characters like Cyclops) powers that they keep in check until they unleash once every ten years in the comics.

Why did Mystique randomly change to her "human" form in the mansion?
Seems hypocritical to ream out the founder of the school for not having mutant-kind's best interest in mind when you, as a mutant, aren't willing to assume your natural form.
And why is Professor X day drinking and being snarky?
The "drama" in this scene is so ridiculously contrived it elicits only confusion as opposed to any tension or even outrage.

That scene was right after a mission where Nightcrawler and Quciksilver did most of the work.

This is a moment when you realize that ‘Captain Marvel’ is actually not all that bad in terms of feminism.
And even without the issue of feminism, that comment came the f**k out of nowhere and just causes the entire conversation to go south.

Well it's just bad writing. Considering the conversation took place right after a mission in a jet designed and piloted by Hank, and Kurt and Peter did pretty much everything. And Mystique herself literally did NOTHING. Her presence on that mission was completely superfluous. It's like the writers had no idea what even happened in the previous scenes.
