She was exactly the same in both. If you don't mind then I would like to ask you the Same Question that I also asked "mstreepsucks" when he gave that Same Answer (and I do think that this is a Fair Question to ask). When you say that "She was exactly the same in both.", Do you mean that she was equally good in both, equally bad in both, or just equally right in the middle in both ?

Tough, even though I definitely like The Force Awakens better as a whole, I feel like she interestingly enough gave a better performance in The Last Jedi. She felt more refined in it to me.

If you don't mind me asking, What exactly do you mean when you say "She felt more refined in it" ? Well if she had any rough edges in the first film, they were smoothed out in this film thanks to doing more roles, working with a different director who could draw out something else from her, the way the character is written, age maturity, etc. It's like the same thing with the cast of Empire Strikes Back in that the actors gave more mature performances thanks to the aforementioned things I said above.

Yeah, That is a Pretty Good Point. In fact, I believe that the last Director that she worked with before she did " THE LAST JEDI" was Kenneth Branagh for " MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS" and he is very good at getting Good Performances out of the Actors and Actresses that he directs. Of course then again to be fair, JJ Abrams is also very good at doing that as well.
When it comes to both of those Men (Kenneth Branagh and JJ Abrams), Would you agree that they both definitely know how to get Good Performances out of the Actors and Actresses that they Direct ?

Well I have no reason to disagree with this for either man in my opinion.

Alright, Do you think She was Good in both of those Movies, Bad in both of them, or Just Alright in both of them ? Alright in both. SW rarely gives an actor the opportunity to truly show off their acting chops. SW is about the visuals and modernizing mythic elements with science fiction. I think in terms of performances Ian McDiarmid as the emperor has probably had the juiciest role for some solid character acting.

When it comes to what you said what " STAR WARS" rarely giving actors the opportunity to truly show off their acting chops, I have to respectfully disagree with you. I think that it most definitely has done that with a dozen different " STAR WARS" Actors and Actresses.

Alec Guiness was nominated for an Oscar for best supporting actor, but lets be honest, its because he was old and hadn't been in something in a while.
Harrison Ford always delivered fun performances but nothing major way.
All three leads in TPM (Neeson, McGregor and Portman) had delivered MUCH better performances in previous movies, and continued to do so afterwards.
Christopher Lee was great but didn't really have enough screen time to be much more than cameos.
Samuel Jackson delivers his most wooden performances ever, and its hard for me to imagine him delivering anything woodenly. Even his "whats in your wallet" commercials show better acting chops. That man could show up at your door to deliver pizza and show more energy than he had in the prequels.
