My parents pretty much kept me wrapped up in cotton batting. So, when I started dating at 17, the first movie I saw, with a date, was "Patton". Quite different from the previous movie, with parents - "The Sound of Music".

I think it was You Only Live Twice. I was about 9.
I didn't know anything about James Bond, but one of my friends at school had a Thunderball lunchbox. The pics on it were intriguing. So I went by myself to see the next Bond flick when it came out. I wasn't disappointed.

My work, as an anonymous Hallmark illustrator, ended up on lunchboxes, T-shirts, sleepwear, party units and countless other products. We got those little kids right where they lived!

Just the Bond franchise. I was already fascinated with movies from tv.
My lunchbox was The Rifleman. They'd probably kick me out of school for that today.

Halloween II on VHS at a friend's house. What I remember is my friend pausing the tape when the nurse removed her towel to enter the physical therapy pool; he then proceeded to either rub or lick the onscreen breasts.
I think that was the last time I went to his house.

I remember The Rifleman. Yeah, given the current concern over school shootings... I never had a themed lunchbox. I was culturally deprived, lol. Though I do remember dressing up for Halloween as Zorro!

I must've been around 4 or 5 at the time.

The only school outings I got was to a farm, and I think the symphony, in 6th grade.

And if I remember rightly, we had two kindergarten teachers... The senior lady - 40s or 50s? - and her young 20 something assistant... who would now be about 70.

But no matter what my age, you couldn't have paid me enough to be a kindergarten teacher, lol! I didn't like kids even when I was a kid. I always hung out around the grown-ups in social situations. A 'spiritual' friend of mine claims that I am an old soul. I personally think that I just envied the grown-ups autonomy.

Oh, it's not the age I have an issue with, it's the speed with which time has passed. And I'll have you know I've enjoyed the company of "mature women" on more than one occasion... Strangely, I didn't really get on with kids when I was one either. And on more than one occasion during my youth, a person claimed I must've been born middle-aged.

A friend and I were remarking about it a few days ago. She is just 5 months younger than me, and we've been friends for decades. It was a revelation when we started talking about the events of our lives and how long it had been since... Very surreal!

I always wanted to be a time traveller, but this isn't what I had in mind... And I've started to notice that the older I get, the better I used to be!

I think it might've been Austin Powers in 1997. But I'm pretty sure I'm confusing it with the second one. So maybe The Waterboy in 1998. I looked up what was out at the time of both of those. To think my first movie on my own could've been The Fifth Element, Jurassic Park 2, or Enemy of the State. Probably better choices.
EDIT: WAIT NO! I'm 100 percent positive now that it was Men In Black in 97.

The Land Before Time. The adults left me, my older brother and maybe one or two other kids by ourselves to watch it. I was maybe 5 or so. I can remember all of us cheering when they killed the T-Rex.

I think it was Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. My uncle who was 12 (I believe) wanted to see it so he went with me because he was embarrassed to be there without a little kid, lol.

I'm not 100% sure, it's been 40-plus years since it happened. I'm thinking it was *probably* Jaws (on my third or fourth viewing), but I could be mistaken.
