I know that she wanted move on from this franchise but HOLYSHIT she could have at least put some effort into the role.
Easily the worse performance of the film. At least Chastain tried to do something with the material. Lawrence was basically "alright I'm here, where's my fucking paycheck?"
Good damn I hate what this series did to Mystique.

The kid who played Nightcrawler was good. Turner tried. Everyone else either phoned it in or was outright bad.

As an actress anyway. Probably the mid seasons of Game of Thrones. I think it was more getting tired of her character being weepy. More so than Turner's performance. They latched onto the Character Arya. Then they started coming back around the last 2 seasons.

Good for her. How goofy must one feel pantomiming having powers in front of people. You must feel like an idiot... Exactly. You can tell she made an earnest effort to inhabit the reality of the situation --- even if the situation was poorly written and overly contrived. Her two Superman scenes were kind of cool.

They didn't bring anything new to the table and, they seemed half in and half out. Their characterizations didn't do anything for me. I always imagined Charles as a heavy drinker in his youth who became a teetotaler in his later years. Why does the movie insist on showing him as dependent on alcohol? Magneto goes out of his way to save humans but, he's quick to decide to kill his own kind. Beast also randomly decides to become a murderbot over the death of a friend. He should have easily been more of a voice of reason and restraint. All of them felt like they didn't know what movie they were in at times, and I don't blame them.
