"an imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist, or genre with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect." Classic Film Parody … Heat (1972) Passing away this week American actress Sllvia Miles (94) one of her most memorable roles was directed by Paul Morrissey an Andy Warhol production. Continuing his examination of fading society, Morrissey crafted this an outrageously funny but also painfully sharp comedy, one certainly not for all tastes !! A pool, a seedy hotel , a luxury mansion. Sylvia Miles gives a trenmendous performance playing an ageing actress think Gloria Swanson who latches onto Little Joe (Joe Dallesandro). Joe plays a washed-up out-of-work ex-child star. A camp spoofy semi-remake of Sunset Boulevard with a John Cale score, this is a more polished production than the previous two films of a trilogy, taking a swipe at everything from sexuality to showbiz, it is an entertaining and very telling sleazy tale... Do you have A Clasic Film Parody to share ?... One film i think funnier than its parody Airplane is Zero Hour (1957)

NATIONAL LAMPOON'S MOVIE MADNESS comprised parodies of KRAMER VS KRAMER , COP BUDDY films and - best of all - Harold Robbins bonkbusters - this one entitled THE SUCCESS WANTERS - with a delightful Ann Dusenberry as the margarine-heiress heroine, here with Robert Culp:
I think a 4th segment parodying disaster movies was cut
which reminds me of
not to mention this from Stanley Baxter TOWERING QUAKE 75

Paris When It Sizzles 1964 is far from a good movie, but has parodies shooting in many directions. William Holden as a vampire in that movie

Innovative maverick Czechoslovakian director Oldřich Lipsky was a brilliant satirist he crafted some highly entertaining classic parody films... Limonádový Joe aneb Koňská opera, Lemonade Joe (1964) This excellent film would have to be my favourite classic film parody Multi layered exuberant, A hilarious parody of the American Western Film, telling the tale of a clean-living, soft-drink-selling gunfighter who takes on a town full of whiskey-drinking cowboys... Adéla ještě nevečeřela , Dinner for Adele (1977) This marvellous parody film combines the major idea of The Little Shop of Horrors by Roger Corman with the adventures of the literary character Nick Carter, the fictional character from the popular dime novel private detective stories which first appeared in 1886. Tajemství hradu v Karpatech, The Mysterious Castle in the Carpathians (1981) an inventive wonderfully creative parody of an 1892 novel from Jules Verne , The Carpathian CastleFellow countryman director Václav Vorlíček made an excellent international espionage/spy film parody, Konec agenta W4C prostřednictvím psa pana Foustky , The End of Agent W4C (1967)
