I like it. It has lush orchestration and a panoramic sweep befitting of cinema's great western icons. He's set himself a difficult task lyrically - has to fit a lot of syllables in in certain lines. As always, Bruce Springsteen challenges me to listen and hardly ever disappoints. Great video too, fabulous colours.
'Here in the canyons above Sunset, The desert don't give up the fight, Coyote with someone's Chihuahua in it's teeth skitters, 'Cross my veranda in the night, Some lost sheep from Oklahoma, Sips her Mojito down at the Whiskey Bar, Smiles and says she thinks she remembers me from that, Commercial with the credit card ...'

I like it. And the video. The scenes in the bar remind me of when he's sitting at the bar in 'One Step Up'. "Tunnel of Love" long-player - 32 years ago, what???
He looks good in this video.

Is that Roy Bittan on piano in the Tuscon Train video? Sure looks like it could be him but I don't see him listed in any credits for the song (or album)

I heard a bit of new Springsteen on the radio during the week and at first I thought it was a new AHA song. Sounded very unlike Springsteen

Have heard it all the way through now and my first impression is that it's great. Huge, expansive, pure Americana in ultra high definition. Will give it another couple of spins tomorrow and be back.

Just played it through, great songs but some well dodgy orchestral arrangements that seem completely out of place for the songs. Look forward to some much more sparse demos leaking out.

The up tempo one that is probably my favorite at the moment.

Most of the reviews I've read have been very, very good. For some reason Rolling Stone, who usually worships The Boss, is an outlier.
This, from Vulture is the one that hits the mark for me.
