I don't know why a few people are now starting to call the Lakers CONTENDERS, All the Los Angeles Lakers have now is LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Kyle Kuzma.

Luckily the season only ended 2 days ago. The Lakers still have what, $25 million in cap space? Something tells me they aren't done acquiring solid players.

All the Top Free Agents are Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving, and Klay Thompson and there is Absolutely NO WAY, NO CHANCE at all that any of them are going to go to the Lakers for anything.
Nope, I am already throwing in the towel. This is So Freaking Obvious to me already!
The Lakers are only going to have 3 Good Players in the 2020 Season (James, Davis, & Kuzma) and that is it.

You don't need another superstar (especially not KD or Thompson who are out for the season anyway), you just need a few more solid players. Anthony Davis is already the best teammate LeBron has ever had. Remember last year when you made a thread every day complaining that "MAGIC JOHNSON IS DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!" right before he got LeBron?

They spent a lot to get Davis, too.
The Pelicans couldn't pass that up. They made out great.
I'm not sure Davis is going to work well with Lebron, who is uncoachable and seems incapable, or unwilling, to work with younger players.
As long as they don't call traveling, he will still put up some very good numbers.

When they're healthy, Golden State has three good players. The rest are fillers. The Lakers can get fillers.

They'll sign some 3 point specialists and a couple big bodies in the middle.

Seems to me that they didn’t make the playoffs while having all those good players.

Lakers aren't even going to make the NBA Playoffs with just LeBron James, Anthony, Davis, and Kyle Kuzma.
They need a WHOLE Heck of a lot more which they are not going to get!

I'm sure there are PLENTY of things the Lakers can do. Throwing in the towel after 2 days of free agency is kind of pathetic if you're a fan of that franchise. Had LeBron stayed healthy last year they could have made the playoffs but they slipped and fell apart afterwards. The Davis trade is an upgrade I'd say. Jimmy Butler opted for Free Agency. They could sign a 3 point expert like JJ Reddick. They have options I'm sure. They aren't in a KD, Klay, Kawhi or bust situation.

They got Carmelo too? Wouldn’t be surprised if he jumps on board.

Hey Tom, hearing the Lakers are interested in bringing back D'Angelo Russell. Yeah, I heard that as well.
I really don't like that idea at all.
By the way, My Name is actually Anthony.

Iguodala and a 1st round pick (top 4 protected in 2024 or top 1 protected in 2025, or unprotected in 2026) to the Grizzlies.Haven't seen what is going back to the Warriors.
