I am going to have to start doing more digging, because recently I have found some REAL GEMS on Streaming.
In my attempt to seek films that matter, outside of the Hollywood SFX/Action/Comic Book Movie/ Exploding Robots/ Reboots etc... I have found some insightful and impactful films as of late. Where has this film been all of my life? I was deeply moved by this story. The hopelessness felt by the title character, the torture the deaf girl endured from her school classmates. The tortured soul of the protagonist and his eventual decent into suicidal thoughts, with a plan and intent.
I absolutely loved the flashbacks done right. The way it begins with him standing on a bridge, the fireworks made him remember her and broke his concentration. Then the use of fireworks at the end to signal her feelings of suicide. The redemption arc of the main character, the writing, the story, it was really well told and put together.
Maybe it's because I watched this at 3am, maybe I'm just in a weird place, but man, I loved this film. I might read the MANGA

I really loved Princess Mononoke and some other famous Anime movies.
I'll give your list a shot. Thanks for the suggestions.

No problem, Wolf Children has a similar emotional punch to A Silent Voice.
