Pretty good gangster flick. 8/10. Daniel Craig is a riot as Newman's volatile and immature son.

Its a flat out masterpiece. 10/10 . Everything is on point here (from the acting to the direction, to the cinemtography , art direction , pacing / editing etc etc).
Oh and Jude Law's character is one of the most underrated villains since the year 2000. "I shoot the dead" (Law's delivery gives me goosebumps every time I watch that scene)

@jakesully We are definitely on the same page with this one. Exactly. his character seems to fly off the radar but is one of the more interesting villains in movies in general.

It's in my all time top five, don't know what to say that hasn't been said already in this thread. Hell of a score as well.

anthonyrocks I tend to go with the following two personally (which is one of yours)... -The scene in the rain at night where Tom Hanks kills Paul Newman, which you basically linked. top spec cinematography. -The general end area where Jude Jaw shoots Tom Hanks in the back and proceeds to take his picture. those two tend to grab me the most although one could mention others to and I would not complain. p.s. that movie is a rare gem that flies under the radar as I suspect if you asked most people what their favorite Tom Hanks movies are, this would be not as mentioned as others are but it's my clear cut #1 Tom Hanks movie. also, Paul Newman picked a hell of a movie to go out as his last legitimate movie as it's the best movie he appeared in and that's saying something even though I think in terms of a role/movie combo The Hustler (1961)/The Color of Money (1986) take the cake.

I really need to watch this again. I just finished the graphic novel this was based on a week ago and really liked it to make me want to watch the movie again.

Easily one of Tom Hanks' most overlooked films. Who knew he could play a gangster.
