Finished with season 5 and now moving onto season 6. I have been a little "slow" on my Buffy viewing as of lately, but I try really to watch 1 episode every weekday from monday till thursday, as I have never managed to get the whole enjoyable part of "binge watching" my way through a TV show, if so I usually end up getting fed up very soon and with shows that I really like such as Buffy, I like to take my while and spend as most time I can with it, not just treating it like some "random" junkfood that goes out almost as fast as it first entered.
Anyway, I quite enjoyed season five, sure Glory/Ben got on my nerves a few times, but I have warmed up to Dawn, in fact I am beginning to like her more than what I ever thought I would. The whole buffybot, Spike and Buffy "romance" part is not bad either and I am looking forward to see what happens next during season six. Will try to be a little bit more updated here with my progress on re-watching the entire show.

Season 7 Episode 22 ('Chosen') I watched it five years ago on DVD for what I think was the 8th time I re-watched the series in full but am planning on re-watching 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel' again after I have finished re-watching the shows I am watching now.

Life of the Party. I am rewatching season 5 of Angel and I like it more every time I watch it. Although I like Cordelia, I still think that season 5 has the best characters. The last scene of Unleashed and most scenes of Life of the Party are among my favorite character interaction moments. Conviction - 9/10 Just Rewards - 9/10 Unleashed - 10/10 Hell Bound - 10/10 Life of the Party - 9/10

Season Six is starting to dwell into below mediocrity as I have just barely "survived" some real stinkers in a row for the past few days.
I thought it opened up promising, dealing with Buffy being brought back to life and how it affects the gang and of course herself, however starting with Flooded or was it Life Serial? in what could have been an interesting episode where Buffy have to go out and do some real work could become a very enjoyable and funny theme, however the "terrible trio" of some frustratingly annoying geeks, that includes Sunnydale's favorite "victim" Jonathan (how I wished Buffy would have slaughtered this clown early on), sadly for me I had forgotten about all of this, or that I have never seen most of season 6, but incredibly enough none of these three douchebags sprung to my memory at all, sadly I cannot say that many years on, as I fear it will not be the last time they will appear all together.
Once More, with Feeling drags it down ever more with dancing and singing numbers, and for me that usually is never good news. Ok, it was not unbearable but when it kept on going 10 minutes more than the usual episodes last, I began looking desperately for the remote control to find the skip forwards and fast button.
Tabula Rasa I watched last night and was thankfully a little better than the once mentioned above, but still the season have so far been without the poorest of them all. But it is still to early to dismiss it completely as I have many more episode of it to see and hopefully it will bounce back, at least a little more upwards in the quality section.

Almost through with season six, and there is just too many poor or far below average episodes and now it seems the more lighthearted stuff are being forced down by some very nasty and vicious moments which felt like they just came from another TV-show. Warren killing Tara and lethally wounding Buffy in the same process in broad daylight was something that surely took me by surprise but also felt like was done just to "boost" up the ratings, also the whole "Dark Willow" Show that I guess will keep on coming for the next 2-3 last episodes is almost "too much" and not in a good way. Anyway, Warren sure gets it, skinned alive and hopefully he and his "gang" is now finally coming to an end. Then finally the creepy Spike/Buffy "relationship" almost ends up with him forcing himself upon her, in her own house. Very hard to watch and all in all this whole season have left a bad taste in my mouth and I strongly doubt that I will ever re-watch the entire season ever again.

Season six is finally over, and I feel almost "bad" for being so harsh on it, specially after just having been introduced to season seven which I sure as hell hope goes only upwards quality wise, after such a poor and forgettable opening episode. Considering how lousy and terrible the "Gang" was as the main (through most of the season six) villains, I think that even though she was annoying as ever, Dark Willow was probably the more "worthy" bad guy (or more fittingly, girl) to appear and put up a solid show right at the end. Glad it was Xander who found a way to bring her back, and not just another overlong fist fight. Not sure if I might be able to get through season 7 as soon, but my goal have been to end it before summer and I hope that I can make it just in time.

Well, that's that then. Almost nine months with a weekendly view of Buffy has finally come to an end, and while it started up very promising, sadly for me it ended up becoming a sad and at times depressive watch. I gotta be honest, I haven't really been all that motived in writing a new mini-review of every episode, as after the first 4 seasons it went into a very uneven territory and the last few episodes of season seven have been everything from impressive to almost pathetic. Having barely survived the horror that is the annoying as hell The Trio and the whole Dark Willow show, we end up with something far worse, which is the arrival of The Potentials along with a very hasty return of Faith and some new characters which I couldnt care less about. However, there was a slightly hope in all of this, and it looked like we were in for one of the most bad ass villains of the entire show, with Nathan Fillion showing up as Caleb. Sadly, it was just too little and too late to really cover all the damage that had been done during most of season six and seven. And such a promising villain deserved better than to go out on a whimper after Buffy somehow magically destroys her enemy after some "motivational" pep talk from Spike, and when in trouble she all of a sudden gets help from Angel who arrives like it was a Wrestlemania cagefight, and that is pretty much the end of Caleb, well beside a small but not very memorable "comeback" in the final episode that is, as according to Buffy and her magical axe, "he had to split" After almost 9 months of watching Buffy every week, I think I can safely say for now that it will probably be at least another 15 year or more until the next time I will re-watch the entire show, well this was in fact the first time I saw the entire thing through, but it was just not as good as I had hoped it would be and the last few episodes felt more depressive than anything. Seeing how Anya was left off, and that annoying characters such as Principle Wood, Kennedy (and most of the Potentials) along with Andrew survived throught it all, that just did not feel right. I knew what would happen to Spike, as I remember seeing the last episode back in autumn of 2003 when it was aired on television but at that point I could not care less, the whole Buffy/Spike thing had gone on too far, taking up too much space and I was annoyed how little time the Scooby gang got on screen, and when Angel suddenly appeared out of the blue it was like a damn parody on some terrible soap opera. I loved the first two seasons, the third was good but not what I had hoped for and the fourth was not quality wise up there with the first three, but as pure entertainment I enjoyed it more than the third. Then the fifth was just ok, however season six and seven was at times something I just barely managed to get through without looking up the skip forward button at full max. All in all, I will probably re-watch the first 2-3 seasons one day, but I am not very tempted to bother again with the last few seasons, maybe a few of the better episodes but as a whole, very little chance of that happening anytime soon. I ended up giving the show what I think is a generous rating, specially considering how uneven and poor much of the the last seasons were compared to the earlier ones, and so any 10/10, 9/10, 8/10 it will not get from me, instead I ended up with a very kind: 7/10
