There's not one for any of these movies on this section? Huh. Well, for context I hugely enjoyed these movies. The first one I'd give an 8.5/10; the second one a 9/10; and this one I'd give a solid 8/10. It has a lot of heart to it, clocks at about a fast 95 minutes and I respect it for truly concluding the trilogy. The villain (voiced by F. Murray Abraham) is the best in the series. But on the other hand, the comic relief characters are really hit-or-miss here;the one dumb blonde girl (not Hiccup's girlfriend the other one) is legit annoying in this. The animation has always been great for these films compared with other Dreamworks movies but it is downright gorgeous here. The background details are Pixar level good. If you like this series, I think you'll be as satisfied as I was.

7.5/10. Gave it an 8 in the poll.
A satisfying conclusion to the trilogy (that is for now).

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON executed its unoriginal plot in a fun and touching way. The characters were likeable, the jokes were funny and the flying sequences were exciting. HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON PART 2 executed its unoriginal plot in a generic yet watchable way. The jokes weren't bad; just unmemorable. However, a certain scene happened halfway through that was dark in a good way (and not inappropriate for kids). It was the start of a new conflict that was complex, because it didn't have an obvious solution and because the characters were driven by their emotions rather than logic. HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON PART 3: THE HIDDEN WORLD executes its unoriginal plot in an uninteresting and at times boring way. The new characters (human or not) are bland, the jokes rarely work and America Ferrera's performance continues to be weak. The humans and the dragons saying goodbye is a tearjerking moment and a mature way to end the trilogy... but it's undone a couple of minutes later when they reunite. The narration explaining that the dragons will remain hidden from the world until present day doesn't have the same emotional impact if the main characters of this franchise can visit them anytime they want. 4/10 ------------------------------------- You can read comments of other movies in my blog.
