I’m intrigued by Yesterday. I have an AMC gift card so I might use it on that.

I may see Yesterday on Saturday night.
Will have to wait until August for Midsommar.
Saw Rocketman again for the second time the other day. Enjoyed just as much as the first time. Even contemplating a third time.
I also plan to see it once more...

Yesterday intrigues me but I'm pretty sure it's going to disappoint.

Yesterday intrigues me but I'm pretty sure it's going to disappoint. actually its quite good. i was expecting the big resolve to be really disapointing but its actually quite good and orignal. def worrh seinf 8/10 from me. i only wish they dialed down the romance part and explored the existential undertones of it more but but the rest is pretty good.

NoraGood to hear, I'll keep it in mind. Guess with Curtis you've got to expect some romance, but was hoping it would take a back seat.

I recommend Yesterday. Very original story, attractive male lead and it goes without saying great music.
Also surprised that Ed Sheeran did a decent job.

Not bad and had it's moments, but it was just too lightweight and anti-climactic. Just wish they'd done more with it. For example I liked how other things kept coming up that no longer existed, but it wasn't explored, it didn't mean anything. I did like the bit with John Lennon though, that was a nice touch.

There is a point to that aspect; see my first post in this thread: linkIn other words, grand success in entertainment or business may be more random than we assume, and Yesterday offers that point without spelling it out. But as you also indicate, the film's overall approach to this matter and others is a tad "lightweight."
