I recently read Bad Blood, which is about the Theranos fiasco: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TheranosThe story sounded familiar and I realized it was prefigured by a two-part episode of Hawaii Five-O: www.imdb.com/title/tt0598112/. Fraudulent medical diagnostics from a single drop of blood. I saw the original broadcast but was able to find the title only because I remembered the quack doctor was played by Joanne Linville: ...who I best remember as a Romulan commander Mr. Spock was required to romance:

I own the first nine seasons of the original "Hawaii Five-O" on DVD. I am well familiar with the two-part "Once Upon a Time", and listed it among My favorite episodes of Hawaii Five-O (Seasons 1-9). Of course, I also own all three seasons of the original "Star Trek". I'm also very familiar with "The Enterprise Incident". But I didn't know there was a real life version of the "Once Upon a Time" story. That's all news to me. Thanks for sharing.

The Hawaii Five-O multipart episode I recall were “V for Vashon.” It was a 3 parter. Each part of the Season 5 "'V' for Vashon" trilogy is on my list of My favorite episodes of Hawaii Five-O (Seasons 1-9). As is the less seen Vashon sequel, "The Case Against McGarrett", from Season 8. I remember seeing the first and third parts of the Vashon trilogy in syndication, but I never saw Part 2 ("The Son") or the sequel ("The Case...") until I bought those episodes' respective DVD sets.

I watched the first 5-0 episode recently--where a policewoman has to go undercover to nab Kevin Mccarthy in his wife-murdering business.
No use of "book 'em Dano" since the guy died.

The preeminent web resource for "Hawaii Five-O" is The Hawaii Five-O Home Page. Here is the page for Season 1. Yours truly is a published author on the site here.
