I didn’t get it until I rewatched this scene.

Read a Screen Rant interview with Kinberg saying that this movie connects to Days of Future Past that made me rewatch it. Like Xavier in DOFP Jean’s powers are out of wack due to her being emotional imbalance and Xavier giving her hope is what made her stronger. That made me like this movie a little bit more.
