I watched The Revenant and Creed back to back in early 2016, at a single screen theater. It just happens to be the movie theater closest to where I live.

.......that WASN'T a multi-plex (i.e, a movie theater with only one screen).....and where it was, and what you saw (if you remember) ?? SAVE FERRIS I don't think that I've ever been to a cinema that only had one screen. I know we used to have those when my folks were young, but even in the pre-multiplex days when I was still a kid those cinemas had subdivided their one big theatre... like, turn the balcony into a separate screen. So pretty much every cinema had 2-5 screens rather than one big one. Same with me. I don't think I've ever been to a theater with just one screen. I've been to smaller theaters but never to a theater with just one screen that I can recall.

Most recent one I can recall is 'Prince Caspian' (2008) at Little Arts Theater in Yellow Springs, Ohio. There might be a more recent one, though. Come to think of it, I saw 'Swiss Army Man' (2016) at the same one-screen theater, so that's only about 3 years ago.
