Halloween Kills and Halloween EndsInteresting I guess. They're already designating it a trilogy, and they're shooting at the same time, evidently. Don't think I like the titles.

Eh. Really wish this trilogy wasn't so focused on Laurie Strode if they were going the non-related route. Now she's just a bystander with a one-sided vendetta. She can and should be a Loomis hunting him down while he stalks randos.
Don't have much else to say. Probably would have preferred a new writer/director team.

I don’t care for the titles but maybe they’re just working titles, let’s just hope.

I hope they keep putting out these cryptic trailers but end up just doing a straight up remake of Season of the Witch with no warning.

I don't mind Halloween Ends, but don't really like Halloween Kills. At least it's not Halloween: Returns. The "R"-subtitles are usually the worse (ala' Resurrection). But I gotta imagine they're both just working titles right now. If they do insist on making a trilogy, then I'd name the second one "The Shape" and the last one just Michael Myers. While it's a bit uninspired of reusing the same title much like they did with The Thing, Halloween (2018) at least laid the groundwork of reintroducing Michael to the modern audience who didn't grow up with the original. Then the second one can be more about why he's the Boogeyman/The Shape and the third one can be a bit more about Michael himself. Not exactly humanize him, but I gotta imagine they're going to pull some crazy twist, especially between him and Laurie that's personal.

Just like the last one........and H20, these sound just like another Tom & Jerry escapade with Laurie's Jerry to Michael's Tom. You'll probably find more suspense in Tom & Jerry however.

Halloween Ends? We should be so lucky! They can't end the series! At least not until they address one question that we've been asking for the past 5 years. Did Michael cook the skunk?

Or even the dog!!!! It was still warm remember!!! He might have just microwaved it........that would explain no barbecue coals being found. Oh, but then Loomis and Brackett would have found the microwave! We might never know for sure...........but at least we know about the magic rope opening and closing the laundry door!!! Badabing!!!

Brackett said maybe a skunk did it. Wow, looks like a rewatch is in order. Good thing our self appointed expert wasn't here to see that. He would have raked me over the coals for sure! Yes, the skinny string opening and closing of the door. Classic! Hopefully we see some more of that in the next two movies!

I'm not really big on the titles either. I know they probably didn't want to go with 2 and 3, and I probably wouldn't have wanted to either, but "Kills" and "Ends"? Its like they spent a grand total of 5 minutes coming up with those titles.

Yep, Brackett's line about the skunk is what made the theory so daft! When was the last time you saw a skunk cook a dog?!!! Hope the new ones feature a station wagon that can teleport from place to place too! In fact, I'm getting in the mood of starting a thread about Bob's famous line, just for old time's sake!

Well 2 and 3 wouldn't make any sense, since the last movie was, technically, part 2 even though it was just the same title as part 1, which also made no sense.

Resurrection, Revelations, Rises, Rising, Rise of, Retribution, Revenge, Revenge of, the Revenge, Returns, the Return of, Reborn, Reloaded, Revolutions, Requiem The 'R' subtitle is about as overdone as it gets.

Pretty much what's been happening for over 30 years!

I went over to the other board a while back, moviedb I think its called, and someone had a thread created about that line. It brought back some memories.

Probably none! I was just having some fun trying to think what R-words were left...........and then the last two seemed the most relevant!
