So they're essentially making The Search for Data: The Series. And hopefully clearing up what happened to the Voyager crew after that awful finale.

Actually, I am pretty certain that that scene between Picard and Data at the end of the Trailer will really turn out to either be a Dream Sequence or some sort of a Hallucination by Picard.

They had to bring back the Borg otherwise it would be lame.
But I am still rooting for Species 8472.

I actually have ZERO problems with them bringing back The Borg. Exactly. They had to do it otherwise the reaction would be kind of meh. Interesting that they are bringing back a certain Borg character not seen since the NG series (and not mentioned at all in First Contact).

Well it has been almost 20 years since we last saw that character so......it is logical to assume that they and Picard met each other at some point during those 20 years.

I never liked that plot line. I think they should have kept the Borg scary and not been so quick to do what they did with a drone. They did something similar with Species 8472 where Chakotay meets a humanoid one. i know Star Trek is all about overcoming differences but in the case of the Borg it was better to keep them as an unstoppable force. I'll give them extra points if they use the music from Best of Both Worlds--I missed that electronic chorus they used for the Borg.

I wish I could be more hopeful for this. But I just don't trust Kurtzman or CBS in general to turn out good Trek. In fact I'm not even sure they want to.

Can't help but think the card game with Data is on a holodeck, and that it'll just be a cameo from Spiner. Made me somewhat excited for the show, it had some curious reveals and some things that made me roll my eyes.

When it comes to those android parts that were shown in the GIANT Drawer at the beginning of the Trailer, Everybody thinks that it is "B4" when it would make absolutely ZERO sense for him to have been disassembled and then put away. It would however make sense if that disassembled android was really "Lore" since he actually was disassembled and put away.

I'm thinking Data is in a holodeck because the holodeck is often used to create versions of dead people - although Data isn't technically a person. Bringing back Lore might make sense, since this show will feature the Borg from 'Descent' and Lore was a main part of that 2-parter.

If you don't mind me asking you this Question, Do you think it is possible that they may try and do some sort of a "Heel Turn" with Seven of Nine ?
I don't know why but I just have a small strange feeling that that is actually a possibility.

I wouldn't put anything past these new writers - something writers like to do these days is dramatically change characters and be like "we're clever".

I mean the closest thing that I can think of that can compare to it is what they almost did in "STAR TREK VI: THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY" with Saavik.
