thunder
Marvel is transforming into a women's magazine. This DC's chance to step in and potentially steal some of their thunder. With the exception of Birds of Prey their upcoming slate looks promising. Wonder Woman 2, Matt Reeves Batman, James Gunn's Suicide Squad, Black Adam, an Aquaman sequel, the Trench horror movie spin off, Flash with Andy Muschietti involved. It's looking very promising. Not to mention a well done Justice League movie and Darkseid being introduced is still on the cards for DC.

Like you said, Birds of Prey sounds to be on par with their diversity efforts. And Wonder Woman did the whole female empowerment thing long before Captain Marvel; I'm sure WW84 will continue it. Joker seems to be about the dangers of capitalism an privilege, Suicide Squad 2 appears to be as diverse as the first and likely continue the theme of incarcerated minorities being exploited by the US government, and Aquaman might just dig deeper into environmentalist themes. Lets not forget the two Snyder movies that started all this, shall we? Their environmentalist, anti-fascist, critical of corporations, and the military was not really portrayed positively in both. In conclusion, you can rest assured that DC is just as woke as Marvel is trying to be and may have in fact beat them to it.

Or, Marvel could steal their Thunder. Something tells me she'd resist though.

Never use the word "woke".

I take it you’re not aware of who’s directing New Gods? Or that John Stewart is supposedly the lead for Green Lantern. Why they didn’t go with him in the first place I don’t know. The JL cartoon made him pretty popular.

I am assuming it's a DC film. Is it racially diverse or something?

I am assuming it's a DC film. Is it racially diverse or something? The source material isn’t really racially diverse, but Ava DuVernay is directing the movie based on the property.
