You can't deny that this is the Luke everyone kinda wanted for the new films, even Hamill himself.

You can't deny that this is the Luke everyone kinda wanted for the new films, even Hamill himself. Hamill is such an underrated actor. And who knows if he could've been bigger. Most of his roles have been typecast roles that can stifle an actors career or keep them from getting more work. This video clip just shows what he can do with good writing behind his character.

I just wanted Luke to be more pro-active, to actually train Rey, and to have at least one great action scene.
Was that too much to ask for?
Instead he was a curmudgeon, didn't really train Rey at all, and his one action scene turned out to be B.S. because not only did he not do anything, but it turned out he wasn't even really there ...and then he died. WTF?

This is very much like the Luke we wanted, the old mentor who actually trains new Jedi, gives advice and still has some fight left in him.
