As promised, here is the link to the full article. Don't worry, it's not one of those clickbait sites where you have to click through 100 pages to see all 100 entries - it's just three pages (100-51, 50-11 and 10-1). www.tasteatlas.com/100-most-popular-cheeses-in-the-worldThere is no explanation of the criteria, so don't ask me what "popular" means in this case! As for the top 10, here they are in descending order: Paneer Camembert Gorgonzola Gouda Brie Parmesan Ricotta Cheddar Feta Mozzarella
I can certainly see how their choice of #1 could be justified, but #2 seems a suspiciously high position for feta . Paneer is interesting. I like it, but surprised it's top 10.

I have only ever eaten paneer as an ingredient of palak paneer, a dish of cooked spinach with chunks of paneer cheese - not one of my favourite Indian dishes. I am starting to see paneer for sale in grocery stores in Montreal, something that you never saw even six months ago. Maybe I should buy it one day.

We are pretty basic when it comes to cheese Cheddar gouda cottage
and topping those all if we could get it here would be longhorn
There were many years I didn't know there was any other kind of cheese.

Mine are: Pont l'Eveque (France) Kefalotyri (Greek) Havarti (Danish) Provolone (Italian) Stilton (English) If you like kefalotyri (which is salty and delicious) you may also want to try kasseri (sort of like cacciocavale and provolone)

Feta may be high because it's really "trendy" right now (right up there with Greek yogurt). But... real Greek feta is not made with cow's milk but rather sheep's milk. It may occasionally be combined sheep and goat. The premier greek feta is made by Dodonis.
And slightly off topic, NO Greek yogurt is 0%. It should only have 3 ingredients. Any more, not the real thing.
