Surprise announcement out of Quakecon the 3 first DOOM games have been released on the 3 current consoles. However, DOOM 1&2 require a login to Bethesda.net to begin playing, although Bethesda has heard the negative reaction to this and is working to remove the requirement.
on a side note... DooM 3 was one of the few times I was WOW'ed by graphics back-in-the-day.
but... that was when the alpha demo leaked in Nov 2002 as it's graphics were well ahead of the games out at the time. but by the time the game was officially released in about mid-2004 it's WOW effect was mostly gone because at that time other games have closed the gap some (even though DooM3 was strong visually, it was just not a more huge gap like it was back when the alpha demo leaked online).

These are getting free DLC, DOOM is getting Sigil the 5th episode that John Romero released earlier this year, and DOOM II is getting the No Rest For The Living episode and both Final DOOM games - Evilution & The Plutonia Experiment. A release date wasn't given, alas this is coming sometime soon.
