That’s pretty long. Then again I don’t mind it that much. If I’m able to sit through Endgame’s 3 hr runtime twice, I can sit through anything.

I'm fine with that. That means they're trying to cover as much ground from the novel as possible.

I'm cool with that as long as it's including more characterization and plot rather than just Pennywise set pieces. Not that we don't need those sequences also, but the book offers so much rich character stuff and plot elements that I just hope that becomes the focuse of the extra time... as long as it's being awarded the honor of a Tarantino runtime, make the most of that by earning it and honoring the book's length.

There are definitely much longer horror movies, but if we are talking about widely released mainstream ones, the first thing that came to mind is that Grindhouse ran about 3 hrs and 15 mins if I remember correctly... some might bot count it, but it was released as one thing. |

Well the book and miniseries are quite long too, so this should be no problem as i enjoyed Blade Runner 2049 and this sequel looks better than part 1.

There was talk about being a three part film series which I thought was a bit much. Two parts and this second chapter being long but having an ending is good enough. I was worried if they were thinking a 3 movies series and the second tanked at the box office we'd be left hanging if they decided not to make the third because the second tanked. Even worse made a direct to DVD third to just to give some kind of closure.

Well I streamed the first when it was available on Google play. Thought it was ok but not worth the blockbuster status it achieved.
Will probably catch part 2 streaming as well unless word of mouth ( including this board,) strongly urges a theatrical viewing
