The icon that looks like a framed picture is for inserting pictures (you'll need to specify the image URL). The icon that looks like a clapperboard is used to insert video (you'll need to specify the video URL).

Although you can upload pictures from your computer to be used as your avatar, that functionality is not supported for embedding images in a post. For that, you'll have to join an image sharing service. There are free services, but they don't always allow you to embed images. For example, Photobucket doesn't allow that on their free service, you have to be a paying customer to embed images you uploaded to your Photobucket account.

I posted instructions in this thread. imdb2.freeforums.net/thread/76578/favourite-cops-film-tv?page=28imgbox.com is the host that I use to post full size hyperlinked images. I asked the Admin to use the hosting site's own embedded codes and he is fine with it. Admin says he uses postimg.cc for the smileys and imgur.com for photos as well. |
