I prefer to think of it as "topic drift" A George Hamilton Topic Drift, if you will Here's George near an open window ...in a drift draft. Remember "I Am the Walrus?" If the sun don't come you get a tan from standing in the English rain.I suspect that gent can tan by standing next to a window. Even at night:

I just remembered this exchange that takes place through a window from the film Wonder Woman (2017). I thought it was a visually-interesting choice.

A tension-filled scene featuring a window from the film Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015).

Has anyone else ever noticed that in animated cartoons, whenever someone goes through a window, the shards of glass go in the opposite direction of the character? Can't understand why animators do that. Any explanations, fellow posters?

I always liked how the prologue of Beauty and the Beast (1991) is told through stained glass windows. And how they returned to it in the final shot, thus 'bookending' the film.

My goodness! I never, in a gadzillion years, would have believed that this subject would be so popular and gain so many hits! Many thanks to my IMDb friends.
BTW, I find it odd that with all these great posts and photos, no mention has been made of one of the best "films noir" of the genre: THE WINDOW.
