I wasn't really allowed to watch the original show when it aired, I saw a few episodes but not much, I started seeing more of the series as an adult when it was on Youtube and now that it's on DVD, and I love the show. I'm not sure about a reboot though.

Loved thos show when I was a kid, then they did a late 90s revival, I think, and I never totally caught up with it.
It's cool that there doing this, I guess. That little teaser looks a little too starkly serious and too jumpy cut/jump scare modern-ish, but that's to be expected. The target audience of kids who still watch Nickelodeon are not going to go for the cheesey early 90s cheap production from Canada charm that would appeal to me.
There's also a movie coming from what I understand. I'd hope that would be more of a Creepshow style anthology like the show, and less of a meta mashup like the Goosebumps movie.

I hope there's room for a show like this in the modern child's heart. In the 90s, Goosebumps culture was running rampant, and kids devoured anything spooky. I don't know if children are as receptive to mini-horror in the same way, having been immediately exposed to things as intense as "The Walking Dead" by way of their parents. In any case, as a grown 90s child, I'll be happy to give the reboot a chance.

Is the movie still happening? The last I'd heard it was indeed moving forward with the writer of It and some of those crappy Insidious movies. I don't know if there's a director actually attached (although that same dude did just direct his first film with the most recent Annabelle sequel/prequel/whatever), but it would seem that the people who can actually get things off the ground are actually involved.
