Any of you heard her songs from her upcoming "Norman Fucking Rockwell" album?

I like a bit of Lana Del Rabies, if that counts for anything?

I started a thread here about the song 'Venice Bitch' yesterday, ck100; I think it sounds like a song out of time. I was listening to it at work after reading an article in 'The Times' newspaper saying not only is Lana Del Rey the most underappreciated musical artist currently around, but that she's reached a level to be mentioned alongside Neil Young and Bob Dylan with her latest album. 'Venice Bitch' strikes me as being deeply evocative songwriting, creating layers upon layers, introducing sub-melodies that emerge from beneath. The intuitive, ramshackle musicianship is my favourite kind, here, sounding a bit like Beck's band channeling Crazy Horse but that does its originality a disservice. I forgot I'd posted on this thread. Just want to say thank you for bringing these songs to us back when you did. I read Del Rey (born 1985) is about the same age as Lady Gaga (born 1986), Janelle Monae (born 1985) and Avril Lavigne (born 1984). I wonder if she knows fellow New Yorker Fiona Apple. Her stage name takes from a woman I love dearly, the late, great Lana Turner.
"I’m Catholic. I like to sing in church because I love religious songs, christmas carols. “Silent Night” is particularly great."
- Lana Del Rey

The hushed tones emerge from such a dense production, meshing so well with the melody and instrumentation, makes me feel like I'm inside a cathedral. The addition of diegetic sound provides an authentic coda but it's most startling to wake up inside a home movie. Thank you for sharing another beautiful video (game), ck100.
