Luke was very beta in that movie. He didn't even know when to escape-he had to wait for Obi Wan's ghost. "Run Luke! Run!"

I don't think he had time to internalize it enough to get hurt feelings. Probably close to a "fight or flight" moment by the time the saber flew.
