I've bought some really good California peaches at Publix in the past week, I keep them in a brown bag for 2 days and they're ready to eat. The "homegrown" peaches from the South were really terrible this year.

Here in BC the peaches and nectarines are hard as rocks. You mean peaches grown in the region or imported? I heard peaches and nectarines can be grown in the Okanagen but I have never encountered them.
