They're already redesigning the company logo to have Tinker Bell popping through a chest.

Of course they would reboot it although there should be plenty of evil alien movies out there.
I'll assume it stays under the Fox umbrella.

They'll combine the Alien reboot with a reboot of Lilo & Stitch.

There isn't that much difference between "Alien" and "Old Yeller," is there? Don't they both die in the end?

There isn't that much difference between "Alien" and "Old Yeller," is there? Don't they both die in the end? I remember like yesterday how that alien jumped out of Kane’s chest out of nowhere on our spaceship the Nostromo. It was so cute I wanted to keep it, but it also killed everybody on the ship and that made me so mad. Then I knew if didn’t kill it, it would kill me. It made plain sense for me to kill it first. So, while it hid on my escape pod, I stripped down to my panties and distracted it with my butt crack all time looking for my alien whopper. Then it was done. It was like having to shoot one of my own crew members. It was the best dang xenomorph a girl could ask for. Good-bye, Alien. I’ll never forget you. The End There you have it. Classic drama never goes out of date.

"Thing is, that film is such a classic and its excellent production design and practical effects mean it hasn’t aged poorly."
Whilst that's true in a general sense, there's a couple of spots where the effects really fall down or have not dated well. For one, the scene where the baby Alien slides across the table, which looks kind of silly now. I saw one of those anniversary showings of the director's cut a few years back, and even though that's going to be an audience of pretty hardcore fans, there was laughter at that scene.
Another is the horrible, horrible transition from the tremendously fake-looking Ash's head to Ian Holm's head sticking through the table.
Both would benefit from some modern remaking.
I don't mind the idea of remaking Alien myself. I do mind that they would probably want to put a lot more action into it.

Guess who they plan on revamping also?

Again? After the "super Predator" of Predators and the "super duper Predator" of The Predator, both of which were horrible... they're going to go there again?! You know what I'd like? Give us a Predator set in medieval times, or in ancient Roman times. Imagine some Roman squad in a forgotten corner of the Empire, having to deal with a Predator. Kind of Gladiator, but sci-fi. That could be so cool.
