Have always had a soft spot for Peter Fonda … saw him in his Broadway Debut in Blood Sweat and Stanley Poole. Varied career but always interesting to watch. On the cover with his Dad

He'd been "dead" once before--when he was 10, he'd accidentally shot himself in the stomach and at one point was technically "dead" on the operating table. He later went on and on about this at a party which the Beatles also attended, freaking them out by showing them his bullet wound scar and telling them, "I know what it's like to be dead." The incident would inspire the song "She Said She Said."

His performance as a sensitive young mental patient in LILITH is heartbreaking. R.I.P., Mr. Fonda. Thank you for many memorable moments.

That's great, thanks for the link. I look through the Guardian's photo section every morning. Sometimes I even beat Carl LaFong to it!

Peter Fonda was so much more than being someone's son or brother or father and I am glad to see that he is getting a proper send off / tribute thread here. Thanks, posters.
He liked cats ! and had a great laugh and was in some pretty good movies

Two of my favorites of his, interestingly enough they were sold on a combo Blu-ray. I had them individually on DVD before that. Race With the Devil Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry
