What are some of your favourite performances from Ving Rhames?
Thanks.

I like Ving Rhames in almost everything I have seen him in, but Pulp Fiction is his best performance imo.
He is also memorable in Out of Sight, Baby Boy, Con Air, Bringing Out the Dead, Dark Blue and the Mission: Impossible movies.

Some nice movies there - I like 'Out Of Sight', 'Con Air', 'Bringing Out The Dead' and 'Dark Blue'. Not heard of 'Baby Boy', will look into it, thanks.

I haven't seen a lot of his movies. Pulp Fiction, of course. I've always thought he's really funny in Bringing Out the Dead. And I enjoyed him in Dawn of the Dead (I think that's the title. I get all those zombie movies mixed up).

Supposedly the only reason he still agrees to appear in the M:I movies is because he gets paid a ridiculous amount of money for only a limited amount of screentime.

I liked him in Dave as the stoic, deadpan secret service agent.

And I don't really notice how much has passed until many years go by. For example, I didn't notice Cameron Diaz retired. I also didn't realize how many mediocre films Ving has made. I think maybe I see their earlier films on tv so much that I just assume they're still in the spotlight.

Now, I think it's easily one of the best retoolings of a '70s horror classic. Decent entertainment with a dynamite cast (I adore angry Canadian Kim Poirier).

I tend to like movies more after rewatching them. I'm not really a zombie fan because I feel the genre has been beaten to death. But I'm aware that Romero's work is usually considered the gold standard.

'Julia X' (2011) divides opinion but is worth seeing.
