Didn't cook today, we were in Mobile this morning so we stopped at The Cook Out and got Cheddar style burgers (melted cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and bacon). These are the best burgers I've ever had.

Looks like it could use a little gravy. What is it?

Looks like it could use a little gravy. What is it? It's a stock photo, but that's what I had. It's schnitzel with a cucumber and dill salad.

I went to lunch with friends (BLT, tomato soup), so I'm not going to fix anything for dinner. I'll dip into cheese and crackers, if I get "peckish." The chicken breast, with BBQ sauce left over from a couple of weeks ago, will be Monday's dinner.
Have a good week, all!

Nuts, ZR ... is that Pike's Market? I love that place. If I lived anywhere near it, I'd have fresh fish every night. Veggies, and non-food things are great, as well. Last month, I visited The Purple Store. Great fun.
***************
I have a cross-rib "steak," that I'll treat as a tiny roast. It's less than a pound, and I'll do it in the oven for about 1/2 hour. Fresh asparagus, too.

Whole foods burger that was supposedly spicy with bacon and cheddar. Was basically just a burger. Maybe he grabbed the wrong one.
Now I'm just picking at stuff. 1/4 avocado.

ZolotoyRetriever any good fish lately? going down to the market for sunday stuff at the moment. what is everyone cookin' up??! Nothing fishy lately, nuts, but I have been making some really good pasta meals, using up the last of my Bruschetta Sauce from Cucina Toscana. I make a mix dish with it using cooked shell pasta and orzo salad, sautéed mushrooms and onions, parboiled chopped celery, and cooked ground beef. I then mix in the bruschetta sauce as well as a little parmigiano reggiano sauce. Superb! (Just realized I could probably add some capers to this mix with good results.)
Only problem I've got right now is the Cucina Toscana Bruschetta sauce is no longer available, and I can't seem to find any decent substitute for it. I just popped into Trader Joe's today to see if they had any bruschetta sauce, but didn't find any. I'll keep looking.

I was going to do a pot roast that I found at a good price, yesterday. However, my brother is in the evacuation area in Sonoma County, Calif., and is trying to make his way here. The roads are all slow, and smokey. I'll put off the roast, until tomorrow, because I don't know how to plan, or how he'll feel (whenever) he makes it.
We may order out for pizza.
Please keep good thoughts.

I hope your brother makes it safely to your home. Does he have pets? I'll keep good thoughts for him.

Thank you, WKM. He doesn't have a pet, now. But, he did have a beloved "kitty" for about 16 years. Of course, she had a wicked streak, but that's to be expected. It's almost 2:00, here, and the Niners are playing, so big-sis decided to calm her nerves with a glass of wine.
