I miss the great food you could get in Chicago, you could "eat around the world" in that city. Chicago always did have a love affair with pork. I no longer eat out - why bother, the restaurants here are very mediocre , that's why I buy a lot from Schwans. They supply a lot of restaurants, their food is good and because there is only 2 of us, its not expensive. I also no longer eat out because of the ill behaved children that spoil the dining experience. I would have been in big trouble if I behaved like the kids do now.

wickedkittiesmom asked if I am Greek:
No, I am Polish, though the prefix to my handle (kos) is definitely tied to Greek culture. In Polish, kos translates to "blackbird"...another curious translation is of "Kosovo" which roughly translates to "field of blackbirds"

I'm not Greek either but learned to love Greek food from Greek-American friends. I also like many Polish dishes, I'm part Lithuanian and many Lithuanian dishes are similar to Polish.

Easily Chicago. I've only actually eaten there at the airport, and even that was good.
Runner ups would be Philadelphia (just for the cheesesteaks) and New Orleans.

wickedkittie: I love all cuisines, international or otherwise, especially Pan Asian food and South American dishes. Specialty cheeses are absolutely wonderful when paired with the correct wine.
