I too will go with my Green Bay Packers (for worse). The season is still a few weeks off, and already Aaron Rodgers is "injured". One gets the impression that just because we have a new head coach, and have finally moved on from Mike McCarthy, that most fans are assuming we're now (somehow, automatically) back on track for another Super Bowl run. While I'd like to believe we at least have a chance to do so, history shows that it's VERY rare for (most) teams going through a major transition between seasons to have it go smoothly (much less have it go well) right from the start.....and sometimes (i.e., usually) it ends up taking MULTIPLE seasons before everyone is on the same 'page', pulling in the same direction..... packerswire.usatoday.com/2019/08/18/qb-aaron-rodgers-misses-sundays-practice-packers-staying-cautious-with-back-injury/SAVE FERRIS

For worse: Titans. Top five picking bad. Marcus Mariota is a bad quarterback.
For good: 49ers. Not because I believe in Jimmy G, but because I believe in Shannahan. In fact, their unforeseen success may be connected to Nick Mullens rather than Garoppolo.

No one will be a surprise barring injury. The NFL has become too predictable.

No one will be a surprise barring injury. The NFL has become too predictable. I disagree with this. Barring injury, we know who the best of the best teams are; but there are always surprise teams sneaking into the playoffs and those that looked primed to make 'the leap' completely falling apart instead.

Browns won’t make the playoffs.
9rs bounce back, compete for division.
Patriots miss playoffs.

Despite all the hype, Cleveland bombs out by Halloween and spends the rest of the season fighting with their remedial twin brother Cincinnati trying to stay out of last place. Pittsburgh like herpes, flares up and comes back on strong, and makes the playoffs. I mean that in a nice way I can't think of any real surprise runner for the Super Bowl at the moment. That's why they are surprises! Most teams either do a little bit better, or do a little bit worse each year, with some teams completely imploding from last years progress. I'll say the Rams get hit with the dreaded Super Bowl hangover and don't make it past the wild card round.

I guess I'll take the ones that look like locks to suck or be great as the potentially most surprising.
For worse: Chiefs, Chargers, Rams For the better: Raiders, Giants, Bengals.

Browns won’t make the playoffs. 9rs bounce back, compete for division. Patriots miss playoffs. To say that the Patriots miss the playoffs also says that one of the dogshit other three teams will step up. You honestly see the Bills, Jets, or, (barf) the Dolphins winning the division?

For Better
The Jaguars will have a winning season
The Bills will have a winning season
The Falcons will win the NFC South
For Worse
The Titans will fall badly
The Packers will finish last in the NFC North
The Broncos will be the worst team in the NFL (not exactly a surprise, but they will be dismal, I will be surprised if they win 3 games)

For better: Bills
- Part of me wants to jump on a limb and say they win the division. They'll at least be the team to best challenge the Patriots imo. They have a good defense and Josh Allen showed some skills late last season to think he could make a year 2 jump.
For worse: Chiefs
- Only because the hype on them has gotten a bit too far where a couple people have predicted them to go undefeated and winning the super bowl in the process. Mahomes is destined to regress a little. A ton of his touch down passes were screens and shovel passes that managed to break out or the runner made some moves. I don't think he'll get so lucky with them this year as teams have now seen him and that offense for a full season and offseason to make adjustments. Plus that defense will likely suck.

Garoppolo looked great last night! Didn’t watch. I don’t put much weight in preseason either way tho. Yeah I don't overreact to preseason stuff either. Just thought it was funny he finished 1-6 for 0 yds and a pick. 0.0 QBR.
