Yes, yes, we all know they won it last season (enough already!) but does anyone remember what happened the year before that? I do. THEY DIDN'T WIN THE SUPER BOWL.
Yes, and the year before THAT, they won. But what happened the year before that? THEY DIDN'T WIN THE SUPER BOWL.
And yes, alright, we remember that the year before even that, they won. But how about the year before that? Oh, that's right! THEY DIDN'T WIN THE SUPER BOWL. (frauds)
See a pattern here? The year after winning the Super Bowl, they have consistently failed to repeat the feat almost 100% (that means almost always in layman's terms) of the time. Hell, they only managed to repeat in 2004 because they were playing Andy Reid's Eagles. Besides that, we're safe in the knowledge of one indisputable FACT. Which is: NO SEVENTH RING FOR YOU THIS SEASON TOMMY.

Found DC-Fan’s sock account DC hasn't posted on the sports board in months, that I've seen, and yes, he posts this kind of thing every single year. But this year... he's onto something.

I'd like to point out my unhappiness that the web address to this thread abbreviates the title to "patriots-win-super-bowl-season".

Well as a Pats fan I didn't think they'd win last year, so I feel like I should agree with you on this.

I feel like the safe bet for any team is to bet on them NOT winning the super bowl.
