Dirty I love you. You're always so refreshingly sensible. A good chicken sandwich is a good chicken sandwich! I couldn't help but notice almost everyone mentioned they liked the food even the posters that hate chick fil a. I tried to find a video of the scene from Silicon Valley where Satanists have their black mass catered by Chick fil a because (as you noted) they make a damn fine chicken sandwich. Sadly I didn't find it.

They are closed on Sundays because they are "Christian" and therefore have to obey all the rules about the Sabbath that are found in the Hebrew Scriptures (what the Chik people would call the "old testament") even though Sunday is not the Jewish Sabbath and Paul, an author in the so-called New Testament, says Christians don't have to obey the former Jewish law.
Also, being "Christian" they give buckets of money to extreme right-wing hate groups who focus on anti-civil rights against the gay communities.
Having said that, before I knew all this, I used a newspaper coupon for a deal on chicken and a large Coke. It was blow your mind delicious. Still, their political activism against basic civil rights and democracy is just too unpalatable to me so I can't give them any more of my ill-gotten riches.

Their chicken sandwiches are bland and flavorless. Does not compare to the original chicken sandwiches they were serving in the 1980s.

Clearly not. They're doing very well. Think of how much better they’d do if they were open on Sunday’s! They obviously have and decided the cost/benefit isn't worth it. Opening Sundays means more expenses for them: employees, electricity, food, deliveries, cleaning, managers, etc. Financially, it'd the increase would be negligible. Who wants to work more days just to end up in the same place?

For Christians, eating rubber chicken with a pickle is a religious obligation. I do like their nuggets. LOL, you liberals are nuts. Everything is a cause to you people. People like good food and service. "Nobody" (as in most of their customer base) gives a shit if their owner is Christian. Christ, have you actually ever been to one? Particularly in urban one? People aren't walking around in their Sunday best handing out Watch Tower newsletters. It's just food.

If you eat there you're homophobic There's people who eat there who aren't tho... I would say there are no more or less homophobic people eating there than at any restaurant. Vegan restaurants that cater to bleeding heart people desperate to be offended possibly excepted. As you pointed out, people go there because they like the food first. Then maybe a distance second is because the customer service is far above any other counter service restaurant. Hell far above most restaurants, maybe especially those vegan places I mentioned earlier. It's been my experience that places that cater to libs staff smug judgmental jerks that look down on anyone that's not just like them. I've even got that vibe at Panera before. Not to mention how overpriced they are. $15 for half a sandwich,a cup of mac and cheese and an apple?!!! That's the place people should be boycotting. But I digress.

I think Chick Fil A has delicious chicken sandwiches and chicken nuggets. Supposedly, they are anti-gay and my friends (gay) will not eat there because of that reason, but I myself (gay) have no problem getting past that one. If they were outwardly rude to me or a friend, then that would be a different story, but that's never happened. I'm not even sure how they are anti-gay. Dirty I love you. You're always so refreshingly sensible. Thanks. For the most part, I just can't do politics. I'm pretty much fine with that.

I was just talking to a friend a couple days ago how "Taco Bell" had such better quality and tastier food items back in the 70s and 80s. They used to have their own version of a taco-hamburger (this was late 70s and for a limited time only) and it was so delicious. And the meat was meat, not some squished together soy by-product. Thank goodness "Kentucky Fried Chicken" is still doing their original recipe.

Only some of them taste good sometimes, it seems. I like the one at a mall kinda. When I first discovered them here in Suburban Maryland (Near DC) they were only a few of the large shopping malls, there were none in the small strip malls or smaller shopping centers. Now they are all over the place and the large Mall is a dying breed of the past. In the '80s I would mostly just order their sandwiches and I think nuggets on occasion. IN recent years I like their strips more. I find that with their sandwiches by the time you get to the last quarter of your sandwich what is left of the roll is really soggy, not just from the sauces. I guess I am also having some kind of reaction to whatever grains are in their bread. In recent months I have found it more difficult to finish their sandwiches due to the consistency and taste of the bread. I"m fine with the nuggets and strips even OK with the wraps, but the bread for the sandwiches is getting bad. (Middle aged rant.)

I have memories of eating nuggets from there with my mom and non-alcoholic pina colada smoothies. I was probably 2 years old. I think we were walking around Fort Lauderdale, FL and taking the bus home. They didn't usually have it where I lived. Now, some are tasteless.

Opening Sundays means more expenses for them: employees, electricity, food, deliveries, cleaning, managers, etc. Financially, it'd the increase would be negligible. Who wants to work more days just to end up in the same place? Actually, in some cases it could lead to a business's demise. In my area we had a local grocery chain that was a huge favorite for years. They were run on a bit of a 'Christian' model, closed every Sunday and most calendar holidays, sold no beer or wine, no condoms in the pharmacy area. They were enormously popular with the upper middle-class especially, and certainly made good profits. No one ever believed they'd go under, but when a large number of 'upscale' groceries and national chains, like Kroger's, started moving in, offering Sunday hours and alcohol, our popular local chain started to suffer, although for a long while they remained highly competitive and seemed to be more than holding their own. But the price of being closed, all Sundays and holidays totaled up, close to three months out of every year, in order to uphold those 'family and Christian' values eventually took its toll. The chain went bankrupt, and to general local shock and dismay, failed. Certainly there were other factors involved in their corporate demise, but there's little doubt that adhering to those religiously-influenced policies was a major reason that contributed to the collapse.

Bought the naming rights for, then replacing (only for a few years) the Peach Bowl; then the "Eat More Chikin'" commercials- usually during college football games (animated cows pleading for their lives); the whole controversy over the owner's political donations; and being closed on Sundays- that's how I know about the company.
Where I live, it's got an uphill battle against the likes of McDonald's and Wendy's- and KFC and Popeye's, too. Four locations that I know of.

You simply do not know what you are talking about. Only a very small number of Christians observe the Sabbath, which is on Saturday, not Sunday. Your 2nd paragraph: "They" give tons of money... once again, a very small number of them. The rest are simply working for a living. I would find it hard to believe that you have never worked for someone who had never done something you didn't approve of. 3rd paragraph: ..."their" political activism. "They" are about as politically active as one of their sandwiches.
