A person who hates garlic, onion, and anything at all spicy, and loves heavy cream sauces, tons of butter, hard-boiled eggs, and a ton of salt.

I think that it would be a preaching fanatic.
"Do you have any idea what you are doing to your [name body organ], when you eat [name food, and/or means of cooking it]?"

A vegan. I can't even be in the same room as one. Everything becomes about their fucking diet and why you aren't on it.

Someone who eats mostly meats and sweets and has never willingly let anything green pass their lips (except perhaps lime Jell-o and pistachio ice cream.

A PETA Zealot who, at the same time decrying the "torturing and murder of animals", states loudly and repeatedly that people who live in areas prone to wildfires, floods or tornadoes deserve to lose their property and even to die.
To whom one may ask … Even the vegans ?

I apologize to you that you're the one I'm responding to, but I think I'm at the point where I have to start calling bullshit on this. I know TONS of vegans, I even dabbled in it myself, and nothing could be further from the truth. If you ask, they'll tell you, just like anyone would, but I've never had one preach to me, lecture me, try to convince me of anything, or otherwise launch into a diatribe about diet or whatever. In spite of all that, comments such as this about vegans are EVERYWHERE. On the tri-state restaurant group on facebook, one person posted a picture of the Impossible Whopper and how they enjoyed it (that's it - just that they liked it, no comment beyond that), and there hundreds of comments saying how it's fake, probably tastes like shit, we're sick of vegans. If I'm at a BBQ and I make a beyond meat burger or a eat a seafood burger while everyone else is eating a burger or sausage, I can't tell you how many rude comments I get.

klawrencio79 Re: You've been lucky in the vegans you have met. I have found that worse than the "in-person" encounters are the ones conducted in the anonymity of the net. One poster in particular feels the need to " butt in " and lecture about poor eating habits. You have met some rude carnivores .. well known that there's rude people on both sides of the fence.

I've lived in NY, LA, the deep south, never once experienced it but I get countless "what kind of man are you if you don't eat meat" type comments on the regular, even now, putting aside the fact that I can run circles around these people fitness wise. I just don't get it.

klawrencio79 If you are not eating meat ... vegans have no reason to "get on your case" and thus no lecturing. Again .. carnivore who hassle you about not eating meat are just rude people and the other side of the coin of the lecturing vegans.

No, I get it, point being is that I've never seen these accursed vegans in public (at restaurants) or on the various comment sections within which I frequent. Yeah, there are dicks everywhere, agreed, but my point is that where I'm accosted all the time (and I'm NOT a vegan) online and in public, I have no choice but to scratch my head when the comment that I was originally responding is basically ubiquitous at this point in time. We're not disagreeing.

Lol, there will always be people like that. I do some gluten free baked items for our shop. Now they're items that are just naturally gluten free, as I do not need to replace the gluten with "yucky stuff" as some say, because there wasn't any gluten in them to begin with. Many absolutely love getting these. But others when they're looking at say the cupcakes they'll ask what is the most popular. I'll say the pb, key lime, AND...gluten free. Some will make this face, that says yuck. It's the same with some of the lowfat cookies I do. Until they taste them, & they're like wow, these are lowfat? Too many are used to the old days, when these things first came out. Back then it was crap. And with vegan, too many don't realize there are items that taste exactly like what you are replacing. The main thing is.....people don't pay attention to their taste buds. Watch any of the MasterChef series(not the American one) & one of the first things they do is have a challenge where the cooks have to taste something, then in a minute name all the ingredients. Many of them barely get half. If you have no idea what is actually in what you do eat, how do you know you won't like something else until you try it??

This is why you and I would be incompatible, we can't even agree on who's more annoying. I'm sure meat lovers can be just as big if not bigger assholes. One of the two is probably reactionary to the other. But what I said is in my own personal experiences, not "bullshit".

A vegan with gluten intolerance... It would be a nightmare to find something we could share as a meal!

Someone who likes really spicy food. I'm pretty game to try most things, I just can't handle 'heat'.
