Under Pressure by Queen & Bowie (only because it’s overplayed) Jeremy by Pearl Jam overplayed doesn't count, does it?
it means you liked it at first and were just inundated over time.
like me and the pet shop boys and west end girls.
that's how i found out about the PSBs in the 1980s. i totally enjoyed that song.
since then i feel it gets played into the ground and have become jaded to it but i didn't start off hating it.

My Ding-a-Ling by Chuck Berry. His only #1 in the US. ^This. A single blemish on a brilliant body of work.

True. I just wish radio stations would play something else by those artists since there is a wealth of songs from both groups. Instead of Under Pressure why not play Radio Ga-Ga or the Seven Seas of Rye?

Elton John's Disney stuff. The quality of his music in general started to decline after the 70s.
Aerosmith used to be great, but then they did a lot of shitty pop with "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" being the worst.
"Rikki Don't Lose That Number" is the least interesting song on Pretzel Logic and became their most overplayed radio hit.
I'm fine with Meatloaf's early hits. "I Would Do Anything For Love" is horrible.
XTC - "Dear God"... They're usually not as straightforward and boring as this.
And then there are artists like Chicago and Rod Stewart who were excellent in their prime and put out a metric ton of shit after that.

Are there any artists that you like very much that put out a stinker song (in your opinion) that gets airplay? For example: Bob Seger - Hollywood Nights Billy Joel - Big Shot REM - Shiny Happy People Led Zeppelin - Stairway to heaven 'Born in the USA' Bruce Springsteen, 4 1/2 minutes singing the same 6 notes over and over and over and over....
