If not about the original trilogy, prequel trilogy, or sequel trilogy characters and story lines?

Make them smaller films. Not sure if that's possible without it looking cheap like Serenity.

Make them smaller films. Not sure if that's possible without it looking cheap like Serenity. No, they can still be big like the Rogue One and Solo films, both of which looked way much better than Serenity. However, if they're no longer centered around Skywalker or even the sequel trilogy's main characters, would it be feasible or appropriate to still use the same main title/opening crawl sequence and theme music? I like how Rogue One and Solo had distinctly different non-Star Wars main titles and theme music (or at least in the case of Solo, just a hint of it), but then had the classic closing Star Wars theme at the end. Keeping the end credits/theme music the same is a good way of keeping the branding consistent for all types of live-action Star Wars films.

the first jedi and the creation of the force That could be cool. Also, perhaps some exploration of the Sith. I mean, I saw Rise of Skywalker described as the epic culmination of the battle between the Sith and the Jedi. But I've watched eleven of these movies now and I still have absolutely no idea what a Sith even is, or what their motivations are. Literally, the films have never bothered to say. They want "revenge", apparently, but for what? I've gotten to a point where I watch the movies just kind of wondering if there's going to be an explanation this time, and... well, nope.
