Re-watches factor is at the very core of how I rate movies as movies that I won't re-watch cannot score above a 5/10 (Thumbs Down) and movies I will re-watch cannot score below a 6/10 (a mild Thumbs Up). this helps filter out just-another-movie type of movies from something of at least some worth. so anything I score a 6/10 or higher will see some re-watches here and there as the years pass although my 7/10's or higher, which is currently 151 movies, will generally see the most re-watches since I enjoy watching those the most. but outside of my 7's there are currently 39 movies I score a 6-6.5/10 which are what I consider movies just shy of favorite movie status and those see re-watches a fair amount to. but as a general rule... anything I score a 7/10 or higher (and probably even 6-6.5/10's for that matter) will see AT LEAST one re-watch every few years or so. but even putting aside that stuff... I still try to see a decent portion of my basic 6/10's here and there even though some might go 5+ years without a re-watch. but every now and then ill go through the movies I scored a 6/10 just to see if I still want to re-watch them or not within a reasonable time frame as if I have no desire to re-watch them, ill shift my score of them back to a 5/10. this helps get rid of the BS and thins the heard a bit. because right now there is only about 473 movies TOPS out of the 2,250+ total movies I have seen that's worth re-watching which comes out to about 21% of everything I have seen that's worth re-watching (at the most). so in other words... only about 1 out of every 5 movies I see (at the most) is worth re-watching. so while I could make a long list here, I won't for now as all someone has to remember is anything I score a 7/10 or higher is among my favorite movies which happens to be within my Top 7% or so of all movies I have seen, or better than about 93% of all movies I have seen.
but I will say some movies that I used to think more highly of many years ago have fallen off as some movies I did not expect to fall off actually did. so while I am less confident claiming a movie won't fall off I do think some movies I think more highly off now will probably still be solid movies for me 10-20-30 years from now. but as far as guessing exactly which ones, it's hard for me to say.
