For the foreseeable future, anyway, I think I'm just done with anything to do with DC, cinematically. Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and Suicide Squad are all just the fucking worst. Wonder Woman is problematic as an adaptation and a movie, Aquaman is just an over-stuffed mess in desperate need of several more rewrites and a better editor, and Shazam! is what happens when you get a creative team that's too chicken-shit to give a Boy Scout character a chance and have to 'edge' him up to make him cooler.
To me, it is abundantly clear that WB/DC has no intention of honoring what makes any of their characters memorable or likeable, and are taking the path of least resistance with their scripts. If they were willing to put in the hard work and dedication to making these movies even half as good as they could be, we'd have had a Billy Batson who wasn't just the most unlikeable little shit in the universe, Henry Cavill would still be Superman because his Superman appearances wouldn't have all sucked, Ben Affleck would still be Batman because his Batman appearances wouldn't have all been the most abhorrent pieces of cinema ever created, and "The Flash" movie would have happened by now because Barry Allen's a good character whose movie would be a big hit if they just did him right.
And Diana of Themyscira would have still been made of clay.

Lol. I see where you're coming from, but I think DC still have plenty of things to offer.

Thank Gott! Then perhaps you will cease to be offering us your dumkopf opinions on these films, ja? It's a free discussion board. After all, we're not communists. Most of us anyway.

The thing is that DC will always have potential. A good Batman film or Superman film is just around the corner.

Aquaman, WW and Shazam were faithful to their comics. You just don't like what others don't. That's all. It's okay.

Sorry. They borrowed heavily from Namor. (Wheeee! I picked up sexy, smoldering Namor Friday. www.funko.com/products/Heroes/Pop!/Marvel/namor) Namor, who has been kicking around longer than Captain America So, no. Not true to the comics. Man of Steel isn't Supes. Supes & Cap are similar characters born of a certain age. 13thdimension.com/how-captain-america-surpassed-superman-as-our-greatest-hero/As Christopher Reeve replied when asked what advice he would give the next Superman actor-remember Superman is a friend. He has all that power that he could use for his own gain, yet he chooses to help others. Man of Steel forgot this. And do not even talk about BvS Batman is supposed to be the World's Greatest Detective, yet he is led by the nose by a fairly psycho Lex Luthor? Batfans should be deeply offended by that alone, forget the Martha debacle

I strongly doubt Snyder was thinking of Namor when he cast Momoa. He doesn't really seem to have read that much comics to know about him. He just wanted "that barbarian dude from Game of Thrones". Besides that, movie Aquaman is pretty much the Geoff Johns reboot.
