I never hoped for one of this show because I didn't know a premise that would make sense all these years later. But this is intriguing and I'm definitely down if they actually do this.... The new Saved by the Bell will be set in the modern day, checking back in with the same high school depicted in the original series. Now the governor of California, Zack Morris finds himself in trouble for closing too many low-income schools in the state. He proposes sending the displaced students to the highest-performing schools in California, with many of them winding up at Bayside High - setting up a new cast of teenage characters.tvweb.com/saved-by-the-bell-reboot-sequel-series-peacock-streaming/

The idea of Zack as a bad politician doesn't feel right. This is supposed to be the same Zack who helped stopped an oil company from putting drills on the football field.

I don't suppose Dustin Diamond is being brought anywhere near this show.

The ‘Zach Morris is Trash’ videos might have ruined Saved by the Bell for me...lol

Looks like they're forgetting that The Max burnt down and was rebuilt/redesigned during Saved by the Bell: The New Class....

I did watch the original series that was on between 1989 and 1992 and i even watched the movies Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas (1994) and Saved by the Bell: Hawaiian Style (1992) I even watched Saved by the Bell: The College Years (1993-1994).
But i am not interested in watching the revival.

A problem with the show is that it's such a product of its time. Trying to update it now and make it modern may risk hurting it in some way.

How about Saved By The Bell : The New Class?
I think I enjoyed that one the most.
And, I agree - I will have no interest in watching the revival.

I watched the original for the cute girls but it was mildly entertaining. I don't know that a revival will work because young people don't know about the original and fans of the original are too old to watch stupid high school hijinks, especially given how much culture has shifted since the 80s/90s. Like how Beavis & Butthead failed the 2nd time around, the original fans had moved too far in life to just repeat the same humor. It should have been B&B when they were adults with kids. I doubt this will last more than a season or two unless original fans can relate.

Unless there is a character who can stop time, to break the forth wall, in order to talk to the audience...
I don't think this show will last long.
