All I know is there is a woman with some sort of magical ability that can make others not have a voice. I don't know if she's a witch, alien, or made a deal with Satan. We will call her Devil Woman.
One scene I remember:
Film centers around two women. One of the woman is Devil Woman. The other is normal. They hate each other. They have a personal vendetta against each other.
Good Women is at home with her boyfriend. Maybe they're just friends. Nice mansion. The boyfriend is unaware to Devil Woman is. Devil Woman comes over, tries to flirt/seduce woman's boyfriend. Boyfriends finds her charming and captivating. Good Women sees this, and tries to warn boyfriend, but before she could, Devil Woman uses her power and renders her mute.
Now Good Woman is doing charades, pointing her to throat to signal to her boyfriend what happened, but husband cannot comprehend what's happening. I think he even apologizes to Devil Woman for her acting so weirdly in front of guests.
What movie is this?
It has a Raquel Welch Lifetime movie vibe. But she's not in it, I don't think.

I'm far from certain, but maybe "Summer of Fear" from 1978?

I'm far from certain, but maybe "Summer of Fear" from 1978? I've seen "Summer of Fear" somewhere in the vicinity of 200 times. The movie he is describing is not that one. For one thing, nobody is turned mute.

I'm far from certain, but maybe "Summer of Fear" from 1978? I just watched that. No, this was more of a family-friendly thriller with horror elements. It wasn't that dark. If I recall correctly, I want to say it's a cheesy B movie with Lifetime made-for-tv vibes.
