We're getting our a$$ kicked.
That Christmas Day Game vs. The Bucks seems like a lifetime ago.
Team is so frustrating to watch - they just don't fit together - especially without a knockdown shooter (JJ) or a clutch closer and somebody that can handle the ball in the halfcourt game who can pop a J (Butler).
Brand better due something - not to keep harping on this - I feel like slitting my wrists watching a 90 year old shot Al 'The Corpse' Horford out there.

We're getting our a$$ kicked. Should not have been a surprise. 76ers (6-11 away) were playing Pacers (14-3) home. Pacers much like sixers are very strong at home.

Zion maybe in January.
Me thinks that's fine, beyond his already 8 weeks suggested recovery window. At some juncture this becomes less about Zion's present health risks & tips towards his & the Pelican's opportunity n'est pas?
If guy stays in bed until he's 25, loses all his hype & hops, then what's the point.
The entire sports machine has become way too potential driven. What's the point of potential if one never cashes in to live up to or not.

We're getting our a$$ kicked. Should not have been a surprise. 76ers (6-11 away) were playing Pacers (14-3) home. Pacers much like sixers are very strong at home. The problem is - why are they 6-11 away? They were supposed to be Elite this year - i.e. one of the best teams in the NBA. Some still argue they are. I argue no elite team is 6-11 on the road. The pieces don't fit. Others argue they are built for the playoffs and a 7 game series to match up with the likes of the Bucks. I'll argue if they're the 6th best team in the East during the regular season and they're horrible and can't win on the road - missing out on home court advantage is huge. Yesterday's game despite Embiid being out was an absolute embarrassment. There's times when this team just doesn't show up, looks lethargic and is just going through the motions - to me that's on Simmons and not Brown - who's supposed to step up and be a leader. Brown came out weeks ago and stated he wanted Simmons to shoot at least 1 3 pointer a game - which has gone completely ignored by Simmons. Sometimes change is necessary to move forward and employees stop listening to a boss - I think if the Sixers don't make it to the ECF - Brown is gone - and I'm curious to see if Simmons is dealt. It's sad because with Embiid's body - I can't see him in the league longer than 7 more years give or take a year - and we should be looking at multiple titles with Simmons/Embiid - the problem is the structure of the rest of the team - pieces that don't fit. I appreciate the wheeling and dealing over the years - but I look back at players past like Dario Saric, Robert Covington, JJ Redick, TJ, Ersan and then Butler (who Saric and Cov were swapped for) and I ask myself if we're really in a better position this year than we have been years past as Simmons has not grown at all offensively. Simmons needs to be surrounded by shooters since he can't/won't shoot. Instead Brand built one of the largest teams in NBA history and the floor spacing is embarrassing to watch at times. OK rant over - I'm sure I'll change my tune when they go on a 4 game winning streak

I think a part of the reason why Philadelphia fans place a lot more trust in their team than it is warranted is that they probably rate Ben Simmons more highly than he should be rated. Sixers are definitely an above average team but I would rate Boston, Toronto and Bucks above them and Indiana just slightly lesser than them. Much like Rockets, Sixers have not got what it takes to win a championship. Raptors also missed that X-factor for a few years before Kawhi became a Raptor but now they might have the necessary confidence to win the eastern conference.

There's been a lot of grumbling amongst the fanbase (this young season more than ever as they've had 3 3 game losing streaks) to end the Simmons PG experiment and stick him at the 4 and bring in a more traditional 1. I don't know if I agree with that. He's a magician with the ball in his hands in transition; however is a detriment in the halfcourt game especially in the 4th when the game slows down. The answer to me has always been simple - you stick a Combo Guard next to him at the 2 who can share ball handling responsibilities and shoot (it was supposed to be Fultz). If you're going to keep him at the 1 (and he won't shoot) - you have to surround him with shooters. Curious to see what happens at the trade deadline and buyout period - and curious to see what changes are coming at the end of the year if they fall short of expectations. Lofty goals were set this year - it was pretty much Finals or bust.

Yes! This is what I've been asking for for years! Per Woj in a ClutchPoits article - Sixers interested in CJ McCollum - Al Horford (nice knowin' ya Bub), Zhaire Smith, Draft Compensation could get the deal done (per Brian Michael Jacobs). There's that Combo Guard who can fill it up I've been asking for. Move Tobias back to the 4 and JRich to 3. Simmons CJ JRich Tobias Embiid Championship

I think they may be ready to blow up the Dame/CJ pairing - but I don't think that Sixers deal above would appeal to the Blazers at all. Al Horford appears to be completely shot. Zhaire Smith is in the G League right now. The draft compensation would be in the 20s. I think you'd have to throw in Matisse and I'd hate to give up on a promising rookie 2 years in a row just like we did with Landry Shamet. Throw some filler in too like Mike Scott. Need to get a third team involved to get CJ over here.

*** UPDATE *** After doing further extensive research on the internet - It appears that 'Brian Michael Jacobs' (I have no idea who he is ) ran with a tweet - and the tweeter was apparently was a troll and BMJ took the tweet down. No such Woj comment has been confirmed (as of yet).

It's Thursday, why is there no TNT game?
Heat-Raptors was messy. Heat with lots of turnovers, but Raptors only 30% shooting.
Heat win 84-76.

A perfect return to MSG for Carmelo Anthony.....score a bunch of points, get zero assists, and his team lost the game. Pretty much sums up Carmelo Anthony's NBA career. And there is talk of the Knicks actually retiring Carmelo's number, which pretty much sums up the Knicks of the last half century. Can't think of a modern day athlete who so better fits with a sports team than Carmelo and the Knicks.

Ben Simmons is the best player on the Sixers. I'm starting to buy into the trade Embiid argument.
