Celtics coming off of two dud games in a row, losing a close one at Washington and getting trounced at home by the Spurs.
Might be a Philly blowout tonight, but then again maybe not.

sounds about right regarding Chicago, plus I actually think Kawhi stays in L.A. Think it's fascinating what's going to happen to Kawhi. Let's say the Clips disappoint for the 2 years he's there - and the Lakers and LeBron win the title both years. I think the feeling towards him in L.A. would be that he disappointed and underwhelmed and didn't give the fans what they wanted - especially with all the load managements sitting out regular season games - then to fail in the playoffs. Be an interesting story if he went back to Toronto in 2 years stating he missed it and made a mistake and Toronto was now home. so Lebron 2.0

Been reading he's seeking more doctor's opinions on his 'dislocated finger'. Wonder if a tendon was torn / there was ligament damage and it may require surgery which is why he's seeking other opinions on the injury. It's his non shooting hand. This sounds dirty - but I actually like this. i.e. he sits for 2 months plus and just goes on a cardio regime to get in tip top shape for the playoffs. He comes back prior to the playoffs and gets load managed a bit prior to the playoffs and then is completely fresh for a playoff run and ready to dominate. Just what I suspected. Torn ligament. It's his non-shooting hand so it's really not a concern for me. He's going to be re-evaluated in 2 weeks. Could be a blessing in disguise - extra load management/games off. Get him in tip top shape for a playoff run where he's fresh and not banged up from the regular season. Nice win last night J-Rich with 29. Nice game from Horford last night because 'HELLLO!' he was at the '5' for much of the game - when Embiid comes back - just stagger them at the '5' (Just have Al back him up like I stated at the beginning of the season) - enough of this experiment with them on the court together with Al playing the '4' - it's awkward, the floor spacing is off - except if you have matchup problems and need another big on the court - i.e. vs. the Bucks like we saw on Christmas Day or at the end of games for an extra defensive presence.

standings thus far -
East
1. Bucks 2. Heat 3. Celts 4. Raptors 5. Sixers 6. Pacers 7. Magic 8. Nets
West
1. Lakers 2. Nuggets 3. Clippers 4. Jazz 5. Rockets 6. Mavs 7. Thunder 8. Grizz
I never would have thought in the beginning of the year the Thunder and Grizz would be in the playoffs right now - and I figured the Mavs may be fighting for the 8th seed possibly on the outside looking in. Never would have imagined the Heat #2 in the East too.

Heat's a massive surprise. Really solid performance so far without superstars. Mavs seem to have a bright future. Kings have become completely derailed and so have Timber Puppies.

People expected the Warriors and Blazers to be in there, and the Kings and T-Wolves to at least be close to the top 8. James Harden has turned over the ball 11 times in just the first half. I do not know but I guess that is a record for most TO in one half. The record for most TO in a single game is 14 by Jason Kidd (17-11-2000). That disgraceful record is under threat today!

With Oladipo coming back at the end of this month and the rest of the team seemingly back to full health, it's time for my Pacers to climb after being stuck at 5th,6th all season. To steal that old phrase from a season or two ago the east better...LOOK OUT!

Derrick Rose with his 7th straight 20 pt game - his longest streak since 2011
Wonder what type of package the Pistons are going to get for him at the trade deadline.
Late first - maybe upper teens pick from a contender in need of a PG looking to make a run in the playoffs?
He's reminding me of Grant Hill a bit - you always think he'd done - but he just keeps going and going and going and is still a productive player.

After his Triple Double vs. the Lakers -
Fultzy Fultzied vs. the Clips and shot 5-17 and 1-5 from 3.
I love the blogs I read about this kid - stating he's blossoming, turning around his career and busting out because he's in a spot with no pressure and healthy now.
The kid still can't shoot from the outside. They're getting the same kid down there we got up here - he can penetrate and drive to the basketball at will and break down a defender on the perimeter to get to the hoop. That's great - he still can't shoot from the outside (which is what we drafted him for). He's shooting 26.5% from 3 - that is beyond putrid and vomit inducing.
