...and the John Barry score from "Somewhere in Time"
And the memorable episode of MASH where Major CE Winchester coaxes a wounded troop former concert piano player, to play using only his good arm.

Meet Me In St. LouisSuitably limbered up from The Great Lie, Astor was back at the 88s to be serenaded by Leon Ames. Southern California TV viewers of the '70s - '80s who remember car dealer Cal Worthington "and his dog Spot"... ...may not know that, in a roundabout way, they have Ames to thank (or blame) for those ads. Leon Ames Ford in Encino ran TV ads featuring his rather abrasive sales manager Ralph Williams... ...who was granted some national notoriety by Johnny Carson with a series of monologue jokes, the bombastic punchlines of which were always, "Hi, friends, Ralph Williams here." Not long after he took the business over from Ames and expanded it, Williams handed the ad duties over to his sales manager, Chick Lambert, who always did his commercials with his German shepherd by his side ( "And this is my dog, Storm"). It was Lambert's ads that Worthington began satirizing with "his dog Spot," which might be a tiger in one, a goat in the next, a bear, a seal, a camel or what have you. Peter Sellers' inept concert pianist in THE WORLD OF HENRY ORIENT a terrific little "sleeper" movie.. Great fun on so many levels. Angela Lansbury plays another of her wonderfully awful mother roles !

A remarkable piano interlude in an otherwise unremarkable B Noir will always draw a re-watch for the incredible bar room solo "Ballad of the Bayou" from Jazz Pianist Gene Rodgers. in Shoot To Kill (1947)
