Particularly those two studio interferers. They had quite the reputation for interfering... Until the reputation became even worse. The only time that I have ever seen 'Studio Interference' work for a Movie was "ROGUE ONE" when the Studio stepped in and told Gareth Edwards (The Director of it) to make the Ending More Action Packed which he did and he even came up with the idea for the scene at the end when Darth Vader was slaughtering all of those Rebel Crewmen in that Hallway.
You know what, I know that I am going off topic here but now that I think about it..........I think that they should actually bring back Gareth Edwards to make another " STAR WARS" Movie. The story, as I understand it, was that Tony Gilroy was hired to write and direct the reshoots because Disney was dissatisfied with Gareth Edwards.

Robert Englund as the school janitor, a callback to both NOES and Scream. Also, didn't one of the tv series have 3 killers? I think that's been done. Jamie Lee Curtis doesn't work for me, mixing franchises. Also Scream was always meant to be a tongue in cheek dark comedy that is simultaneously making fun of horror films, deconstructing them, while being a legit good horror film. To do that I think you need to broaden its horizons beyond slashers or it risks being stale. If you're going to do a straight up slasher these days, it better be good. (I know it's for fun, just sayin') "didn't one of the tv series have 3 killers?" --------------------------------------------------- There were 5 Killers in the TV Series (1 Killer in "SEASON 1", 2 Killers in "SEASON 2", and 2 Killers in "SEASON 3"). 7 killers is what I think it was mate, 2 killers in S1 but only 1 was revealed, S2 had 1 killer iirc who was the partner is S1 that wasn't revealed then, the Halloween specia/movie that ended that arc had another killer after the main cast and a 3rd killer wearing the Brandon James mask that killed killer #2, and S3 had 2 killers also.

Joey King as an agent is a little silly, she's too young, Gales a successful writer, reporter and such, she wouldn't have some rookie agent, peronal assistant/protégé would make more sense for Gale to have as a barely college age girl hanging around her.
3 Killers is obvious but then what isn't these days? but 3 just smacks of a obvious attempt to one up the original, but you could make it work if the story and script is strong enough, but sadly that's not the case here imo, retconning the history of the original to force in some connection to that film to this story is cringe inducing, it didn't work for Scream 3 and it wont work here 20+ years later especially as it would be the 2nd retconning of Billy & Stu's spree.
I also don't like the use of the horror icons in this, I would say use them but in different ways, like honestly I dunno have them appear with Gale on Gale's new show and they are guest who come on to talk about the correlation to violence in films to real life and how they as icons in horror feel about this, also include Hodder in this, then they could either be killed off or not really doesn't matter.
I would actually have Panabaker be Gale's agent or ghostwriter and keep the lesbian relationship, and make her the lone killer, but reveal she seduce the deputy to get access to info she couldn't normally get, the twist being why she's started killing, unlike the Loomis's it's not revenge for their family, or Stu for he lols, or Mickey for the agenda, or Roman and the chick from 4 who did it out of envy, have her turn to killing for something like she's sympathised with the past killers through spending so much time working on Gale's books, and see's Gale, Sydney & Dewey as the villains not because they weren't victims themselves but because they are no better than the others, they all chose to kill yet they are lauded as heroes and became rich and successful off of the ordeals whilst the true victims famiies just felt the loss, or Mr Loomis who I dunno killed himself over what happened and no one cared, you could then tie her in and say her sister was the character SMG played in Scream 2, someone who had nothing to do with anything but died anyway and no one cared.
This you could then turn and change how the films usually end with Syd and them not killing her, her words resonating with Sydney so they don't kill her, the final scene being Syd an Gale discussing the events of the new killings some time later but actually realising it isn't about them and doing something for the families who lost people this time round.
You know just to me Scream 5 would need to be a little different and his is just stuff off the top of my head riffing as I go, but your thing feels kind of bland to me, but feel free to pick apart my ideas also, Iam pretty sure it isn't a master piece nor would it be if I actually tried doing it for real I am far too silly, I would add some stupid comedy spot somewhere like Dewey getting bopped in the sack by Englund or something.

I'm not sure what you're looking for but I would say your biggest problem is that it's too on the nose with your cast. Jamie Lee, Robert Patrick and Robert Englund?! That's just too distracting. Not to mention Curtis was talked about in the first Scream movie.

Not to mention Curtis was talked about in the first Scream movie. Well, I would really want to keep Robert Englund in it but I am definitely open to changing the other 2.
If you don't mind me asking, Who would you suggest would be Good Choices to Play both a Female FBI Agent (I would want to have her be played by a BIG Name Actress who has experience doing Slasher Movies and has never appeared in a "SCREAM" Movie before, Do you know of any Actress besides Jamie Lee Curtis that would also fit that bill ?) and a Male FBI Agent ?
