Heritage Classic 2019 was decent. Atlanta Flames vs. Atlanta Thrashers, in Regina Saskatchewan.
The neutral site was a great idea, & chatter during the evening included a revisit of more neutral sites for NHL games, as was done decades ago. I just don't think the NHL should get too cute with match-ups. Not sure Portland wants to see Seattle v San Jose or Orlando needs to see Tampa Bay v Florida. Would Hartford want to see Boston v NY Islanders?? Dunno.

Blowing their load too soon? Weren't Buffalo first in the conference last year but ended up missing playoffs? We're 3rd from last in the Metropolitan. That being said - we've played the least amount of games in the Eastern Conference besides the Rags. It's just nice to finally have a bit of optimism for this team.

Not much NHL love going on here, this thread was five pages back.
We can't have this, hockey fans!
So the Bruins are now 11-1-2, totally dominating everyone they meet.
Then there's the rest of the NHL.
Your thoughts?

Tampa is a monster ready to unleash havoc.

Look who's climbing the standings folks. Orange Crush beat the Mighty Maple Leafs in a shootout 3-2. Only a point out of 3rd place in the Metropolitan Division

At least this shootout was better than last week's despite the result. Marner's injury didn't look good as he was going off.

Leafs can't help but bring everyone into overtime & reward points for anyone they play.
Andersen now officially playing out of his mind like Curtis Joseph... couple years ago he looked annoyed at this team in front of him, now he's embraced the chaos.

Just under a quarter of the season in and Toronto have lost a game more than they've won thanks to a loss to Chicago following last night's defeat to the Flyers. The Raptors end the day on a positive for Toronto sports fans with an improbable win on the road against the Lakers.
